Atmosphere
My sister and I stayed in the campground in July of 2024. We were not in the park most of the day since were spent most of our time in the Cascade National Park hiking. The time spent in the park was quiet. The park is clean and well-maintained. When you first enter the park there are small cabins on both sides. I believe these cabins house full-timers. I am never a fan of full-time people living in the park. However, at this location, I did not see people. You can tell from the yards that people live there year-round.
Most of the sites except for the large vehicle sites are green-screened to give you privacy. The shrubs growing on either side of the site are tall enough that you do not see your neighbor. If you select a back-in site you will have this option. The pull-through sites do not have this privacy option.
We stayed in site 16 which was a trek to the bathroom if there was a person camping in the site across from us. If no one was across from us, It was easy to access the bathrooms. Sites 10, 11, 13, and 15 are on the restroom side but give less privacy. The forest is behind sites 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 23.

Environment
The campground has a small store that sells the wine from the winery next door. Some cabins are for rent and options for tent sites in the RV park and across the highway on the river. If you select to stay on the riverside in a tent there are only outhouses and no access to plumbing. The park itself only had two private shower/restrooms that I could see. They were clean and well-maintained. It was once to have a private bathroom but for the size of the campground there really needed to be more bathrooms especially if someone was taking a shower, there would be no access to the restroom.
The park was close enough to the Cascades National Park. It was only about a 10-minute drive. The drive was beautiful and easy to get there. Glacier Peak RV Resort is on the west side of the National Park.
Surrounding Area
The area surrounding Glacier Peak RV Resort was stunning. It is close to the Riverloop Trail hike, Diablo Lake, Pyramid Lake Hike (Unless you love straight uphill for 2 miles I do not recommend this one), and the Gorge Creek Overlook. Of course, there are many more hikes and trails in the Cascades National Park for you to enjoy.
I think the Skagit River is one of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen.

Favorite Things
We loved the proximity to the National Park and the easy drive to get there. Our favorite spot was the Ladder Creek Falls Hike located behind the Gorge Powerhouse in Newhalem. I wish we had done it at night as it was recommended to us to see it all lit up.
If I Could Change One Thing…
I think there are two things I would change about his park and those would be full-timers and the need for more restrooms in the campground.
