Amenities
Whether you’re planning a retreat for the whole family, a group of friends or a getaway for two, there’s no shortage of unique activities to explore at Pio Pico RV Resort & Campground. Pio Pico has two swimming pools, a game room, crafts for the kids, and holiday activities, such as parades and dancing. There is privacy in our cottage, the campground workers and guests are friendly.
Access
Pio Pico is located in south San Diego county. There is both dirt and paved roads around the campsite.
The Atmosphere
The campers and staff are very friendly. Some of the cottages are pet-friendly.
Environment
Pio Pico is very close to town and feels like we are in a different world. The campsite is surrounded by mountains. At night the stars are shining bright.
Surrounding Area
Pio Pico is ten minutes to Chula Vista, Otay Lakes, and Jamul. Pio Pico is close to many attractions such as the zoo, Sea World, and museums. We are twenty minutes from Mexico, so day trips south of the border are not only a possibility but also a great opportunity.
Favorite Things
We love the arts and crafts, the parades during the holidays (the kids decorate their bikes and parade around the campsite), and the pools. We also like bike riding around the campsite.
If I Could Change One Thing…
I would like them to fix the basketball courts.
Mariana says, “It’s a wonderful campsite. It’s close to the city and far enough to feel like you are in the countryside.”
